Visiting professorsand researchers

Each year, Sciences Po Lyon hosts 12 visiting professors from across the world to deliver 20 hours of teaching over a month-long period in French, English or Spanish.

The purpose is to enrich the quality of teaching at Sciences Po Lyon, support the international outreach of our degree programs, and to bolster the international culture of our students through diverse teaching methods.

Join us

Open to all teaching staff holding a position in a foreign university and who have, at least, defended a thesis. Please be aware that lecturers are invited to teach upon recommendation by permanent teaching staff at Sciences Po Lyon. We do not accept direct applications for this position.

Applications are examined by a selection committee and approved by the Sciences Po Lyon scientific board. Regardless of the position held by the member of staff in the university of origin, remuneration is paid at the rate of a 1st class university lecturer in France. 

There is no specific call for researchers. Guest researchers are hosted at Sciences Po Lyon as part of a research programme associated with permanent research staff members at the institute.
