Be careful

It is advisable to be vigilant during your research to avoid scams :

  • Some professionals may ask you to pay in advance to access a list of accommodations. Please note that those lists are rarely up to date, and paying does not guarantee that you will obtain housing.
  • Beware of low prices that seem too affordable, the offers might not be reliable.
  • Beware of remote bank transfers. When renting directly from a landlord, do not send money remotely without first signing a rental agreement. Visit the accommodations before making any payment.
  • Comprehensive home insurance

This insurance is compulsory for any rental (residence, private apartment). This insurance provides cover against theft, fire, water damage, etc.
